Born into a family of painters and actresses, Olivia Gray was soon to take up an artistical and creative career. Still in her teens she decided to go to London and studied at the Cambridge University to get herself a degree in English Literature. With this background she enrolled at the C.A.F.A.D. (Central Academy Of Film Art And Drama) in London which she left with the finishing diploma. She also got more and more involved in songwriting and worked as well as a session vocalist, since music has played an important role from childhood onwards. It was during a recording session that Producer Willy Viteka - impressed by Olivia’s voice - decided to record some demos.
Together with some outstanding musicians like Terry Britten, Alan Tarney, Graham Jarvis, Nigel Jenkins, Anthony Clark, Ian Lynn, Jerry Stevenson, John Earle and Tony Jackson - all known for their excellent work with Tina Turner, Cliff Richard, Paul Young, A-ha, Sheena Easton, U-2, Brian Ferry, Bruce Hornsby and many others she recorded a whole string of international successes.
Olivia has come a long way in her musical career and looks back on 9 English albums, two in Spanish, two in Swiss-German and three albums with childrens’ songs.
Amongst her greatest hits we find „Raining in my heart“, „In the morning light“, „Nobody wants to be lonely“, „Te quiero“ and the long-running success „Es bitzeli Liebi“ (A little bit of love) which has sold over 40'000 copies.
The fact that famous artists such as Milva, Francesco Napoli , Paco Aguilera or Los Bravos - who had a worldwide hit in the sixties with „Black is Black“ – have recorded her songs, is also evidence of Olivia’s songwriting talent. For the new album of Los Bravos she has written all songs with the exception of „Black is Black“ and also sings two duets with lead singer Mike Kennedy.
Olivia proved herself as a live artist in her charismatic appearances at some of the world’s leading Song-Festivals such as in Japan, Korea, Ireland or Chile where she performed no less than on three occasions.
Her variety of styles is acclaimed by an audience far beyond our boundaries, across Spain to Latin-America, where the singer-songwriter has achieved remarkable success.
This, coupled with the fact that Spain is Olivia’s second residence, explains her affinity to the language and Latin influences.
Olivia recorded her two new albums, one in English and one in Spanish with producer Xavi Puit in Spain. The singles „Te Quiero“, a catchy latin-pop song with hot guitar riffs a la Carlos Santana, as well as „Mueve Mueve“, a very danceable mixture of latin and reggaeton, are both refreshing and full of joy of life and latin temperament.
The followed up power ballad „Tu amor esta en mi“ evokes feelings, emotions, longing and ardent desire. This unusual and captivating lovesong was visually transformed into a video with sensously, and stylishly composed images.
Olivia’s other great passions – dancing and painting –were also integrated to complete this audivisual portrait.
Versatility, originality, imaginative arrangements, captivating songs and a personal distinctive voice are some of the distinctive characteristics of singer-songwriter Olivia Gray.
Her emotional and sensitive personality, her authentic songwriting and interpretation, according to their lyrics and moods – light-hearted, sensous, seductive, pensivel or vulnerable –touch and convice her listeners.
New albums „Release my soul“ (englisch) and „Ritmo del amor“ (Spanish)
LOS BRAVOS – „Midnight Storm“
LOS BRAVOS had a worlwide smash hit in 1966. Shortly after release they received their first gold records and the song reached top positions in all the charts around the world, including the Billboard- as well as the Cash-Box-Charts (No 3), something no other Spanish group ever did.During the following years LOS BRAVOS wrote history in Spain. They topped the Hitparades and had huge chart successes with songs like "Bring A Little Lovin" , „Going Nowhere“, „La Moto“, „I’don’t care“, „Like Nobody Else“,"La parada del Autobus", „Sympathy“ etc. In 1968 they acted in the movie "Los chicos con las chicas", followed in1969 by the film "Dame un poco de amoor", which were huge successes and in the line of the very popular psychedelic movies like the Beatles did in Richard Lester's "A hard day's night", "Help!" etc.
In 1968 Manolo Fernández had an accident and died. In 1969 Mike separated from the group and started his successful solo carrer as MIKE KENNEDY. The Band reunited afterwards twice: ten years after they had a big hit as MIKE KENNEDY AND LOS BRAVOS with the song "Never, Never, Never" which was until today their last big success. In 1986 the band came together once again to celebrate their legendary successes in various concerts.
Now, the time seems right for an international comeback of this legendary group.
Producer Willy Viteka had the idea for a comeback of LOS BRAVOS already several years ago.
Various meetings took place with the members of the group until the During the last few months 12 new songs have been recorded in Tam Tam Studios of Lloret de Mar, amongst them a remake of BLACK IS BLACK in English as well as for the first time a Spanish version (NEGRO ES). The album was co-produced by Xavi Puig, who studied music for several years and who has a longstanding experience as a musician, singer, arranger and producer. He worked with well-known acts like José Carreras, Jaleo, Ultimo de la fila, Lluis Lach, Paco Aguilera and many more.
The result of these new recordings is quite astonishing. Several of the 12 songs have great hit potential.
The album stands out by its versatility and high standard. Mike’s voice is better than ever, it has great personality, is full of energy and expression.
With the exception of two songs, all titles have been composed by the internationally successful singer/ songwriter Olivia Gray who also wrote songs for Milva, Francesco Napoli, Paco Aguilera etc.
Mike also recorded two duets with her - the melodic ballad “I Need Someone” as well as the uptempo song "Nobody WantsTo Be Lonely". The very personal "My Life" was written especially for Mike and touches by ist arrangements and great interpretation by Mike.
LOS BRAVOS in their original formation with Mike Kennedy, Miguel Vicens and Pablo Sanllehí, are now ready for a comeback and the group has proved in several sold-out live concerts during the past months that they are still capable to thrill a large audience with their energy and enthusiasm.
A biographie of the legendary group has also been published and the group appeared in various TV Shows all overs Spain.
With their new convincing album "Midnight Storm" the chances look good that LOS BRAVOS will once again enter the international charts with their brandnew sound and repertoire.
Wherever Paco Aguilera performs, if solo with his guitar, a few musicians or with a big band, backing vocals and dancers he thrills every audience and makes them get up on their feet.
You will get the same feeling when you are listening to hismusic. It's a musical cocktail which contains everything to feel good and make you wanna sing along or dance: A catchy melody, rhythms that gets you on your feet and a good portion of Pop mixed with Rumba and everything flavoured with original arrangements and great backing vocals.
Paco Aguilera is a master in entertaining and spreads a great athmosphere and this in a highly professional way. He surrounds himself not only in his live concerts with excellent musicians, backing vocals and dancers but also when he records in the studio, he works together with the crème of the Spanish Rumba and Pop Scene. The list of musicians, arrangers and producers therefore includes top names of the Spanish music scene.
The title for his new album "King Of The Rumba" is therefore more than justified. It contains a mixture of catchy songs which include own compositions as well as very original cover versions like "La Bamba", Guantanamera", Michael Jacksons's "Billie Jean" or Elvis Presley's "Jailhouse Rock", "Crying In The Chapel" and last but not least "King Of The Road". In spite of the versatility of the tracks, Paco Aguilera's individual interpretation and the original mixture of Rumba and Pop create an unbroken thread throughout the whole album.
Responsable for this extremely lively production full of passion, energy, rhythm, feeling, musicality, joy, versatility and unusual musical ideas are no doubt as well the excellent musicians and backing vocalists all prestigeous names amongst the crème of the Spanish music scene and some originating from long-standing musical gipsy families.
Paco Aguilera is already looking back on a considerable musical career and long live experience.
Born in Barcelona, originating from a long-standing gipsy family himsel, he soon took up their musical tradition, deeply rooted in their unique style of Flamenco and Gipsy Rumba.
At the age of 14 Paco already starts his career as a singer and guitar player in a group named Rumba 2000 where he stays 2 years. During this time they record their first album. He then joins the legendary group JOSE MARIA Y SUS RUMBEROS. At the age of 18 , one of the greatest flamenco artists - RAPHAEL DE CORDOBA - invites him to join his group as singer and guitar player. During his numerous international tours Paco also gets to know latin american musicians. Impressed by their musical influences, he soon starts to experiment to combine Salsa and other latin rhythms with Flamenco and Rumba music. In the formation of his own group named SALSA FLAMENCO he develops his ideas in this new sythesis. Their first album receives very good reviews and gets them on varios international tours and TV.
After their return he also plays with KITFLUS and MAX SUNYER, the front men of rock group PEGASUS and now starts to integrate pop elements into his music. He goes on a six months tour in America and develops his electrifying RUMBA GITANA music even more.
Shortly after Paco Aguilera forms his new group LOS ROLLIN they have a tremendous success in Spain and South-America with a medley of famous BEATLES songs recorded in Flamenco style. Paco is now celebrated as the "new phenomena of rumba" and he receives various gold records in Spain and Latin America.
At the famous"Mosaico Gitano" in Nîmes he electrifys the audience and even puts the Gipsy Kings into the shade.
Wherever he performs with his band and dancers, the audience reacts with exitement and enthusiasm and his concerts turn into real "Fiestas".
Paco Aguilera and his Band have also performed twice at the by now largest Latin Festival in Europe, the Caliente Festival in Zurich, where he turned the hall into a witch's cauldron.
Always in search of new ways of expression in Flamenco music, he leaves LOS ROLLIN and starts a new band, working on new ideas, combining other elements in his music.
The result is his latest album "King Of The Rumba" which he recorded during one year. This album certainly transcends the bounderies of traditional Flamenco and because of its unique combination of Pop, Rumba and Flamenco .
Paco represents the grace and salt of rumba flamenca mixed with pop and latin flavours
that motivates the audience to get up from their seats and dance.
CARANGELO was born in Ugento Lecce (Apulia). This Region in the South of Italy seems to be somehow special since lots ot internationally well- known artists come from this part of the country like Domenico Modugno, Albano, Mietta, Franco Simone and others. CARANGELO has been in the music business for quite a while. Together with other famous musicians, he performs at Palasport in Genua presenting his first album entitled "AVRO" which is released in various countries. In 1989 director Carlo Caso becomes aware of him and engages him for various parts in his productions. CARANGELO acts side by side with well-known personalities like Adriano Celentano, Franco Diogene, Carlo Verdone and Renato Pozzetto. Beside his acting abilities CARANGELO discovers his talent as a singer/songwriter. He spends more and more time with composing and writing his own songs and soon his first album is released for which he wrote most of the songs. He starts his own band and appears in several live concerts. At the Final of the "FESTIVAL EUROPEO DELLA CANZONE ITALIANA" he presents two of his songs. The Organisers also choose applicants for the Festival "SANREMO GIOVANI TALENTI NEL MONDO" ("Sanremo young talents of the world"), which final takes place in Sanremo and is broadcasted by RAI International. Because of his qualification amongst the first at the Festival in Bruxelles, various people become aware of him, amongst them his today's manager who is impressed by the talent of this young Cantautore. In addition he arouses the interest of music producers which record several songs with CARANGELO in Italy. Producer Willy Viteka is impressed by CARANGELO's songs and he decides to produce a new album with this singer/songwriter, taking him into a completely new musical environment. This should be an important milestone in CARANGELO's career. In the musical surroundings of Barcelona, musician, arranger and producer Xavi Puig, who produced well-know artists like Ultimo de la Fila, Jaleo, Tapan, Paco Aguilera, Luis Llach etc., records 10 new songs with CARANGELO. The album entitled "Vivere" will be released shortly and the 10 songs of which every single one could be a potential hit offer a great variety of musical ideas, original arrangements and backing vocals as well as great musical virtuosity. The lyrics are poetic and profound and reflect a lot of feeling and a sensitive personality. There is presently no other Italian artist that could be compared with CARANGELO since he does not fit into the common styles practised by the Italian singers known to us. His music is a mixture of pop, cantautore, dance, rap as well as wonderful ballads. The chances seem very promising that CARANGELO will establish himself on the international market with this new album just like Adriano Celentano or Eros Ramazzotti did.
